About
The PIT VIPER RACING JACKS brand was established in 2018 by a former NASCAR design engineer Andrew McCarthy. He noticed there were no independent jack suppliers in the sport who were keeping up with the in-house units being created by the larger teams, which left the smaller teams at a disadvantage on pit road, a gap that was only growing wider as the years passed. The original Series 20 racing jack was born to fill that gap, weighing in just over twenty pounds and being built on solid engineering principles allowed it to break into the market at a fraction of the cost required normally to compete with the larger teams.
The Race Jack maximizes the usage of an over/under lift arm design that integrates the pad and back stop to create a much stronger yet lighter design while functionally stopping the jack from being able to be thrown under the car like older styles allowed. This layout has been copied in numerous ways by every other NASCAR team once they saw its potential. Pit Viper was the first hydraulic unit to integrate the reservoir into the main valve block which continues the focus of weight reduction through part count reduction while more importantly reducing difficulty of maintenance.
In 2023 Mac’s Performance designed and built our first ever Shop Jack. We integrated the technology used to build the race jacks leading us to the strongly built & beautifully designed Series 40 Low Profile Garage Jack. A solidly built high end aluminum jack meant for NASCAR cup garages, allowing for safe and dependable lifting from a 1-5/8” minimum pad height up to a 23” max. The shop jack may additionally be ideal for usage in any number of racing series around the world or even in private racing series and home garages.
